We love to go to Route 66 Motels and support local-- so, we know we're not getting modern, clinically sterile conditions. These Motels have a patina on them, inside and out. That's why you choose them! We want charming decor, clean, fair price, comfy bed, and nice staff. Meeting the owners is always part of the fun. South West Motel met all of our expectations. We slept like unicorns in a magical forest. The owner recommended eateries and nature sights that we took advantage of.

Lovely little motor inn. Room was cozy. Ron at the front desk was super friendly and recommended places to eat. Route 66 decor. Bed was comfortable. Liked that the sheets were not your typical white but a nice charcoal color. Loved meeting the kitties in the lobby

Me and my partner stayed here while driving to and from Los Angeles. We loved staying here, always clean and neat. Owners are amazing and super helpful. Great recommendations for all over Grants. It's a pet friendly hotel as well, our cat was very happy to stay here. We will definitely be staying here in the future, and could possibly be our go-to motel for when we drive across the country.

Owners / operators have put their hearts, souls and money into updating this property into a clean, comfortable lodging while maintaining its historic Route 66 neon vibe. Really nice helpful owners too. Note, to light sleepers, the freight trains, which run frequently, including overnight, are not far away.

Comfortable & clean. We had a issue with the mini fridge, which the owner quickly resolved. This was a vintage motel along Route 66 in Grants, NM Which the new owner was updating while keeping its charm. Definitely stay again.

Small one level Route 66 old motel. Owner is gradually updating the rooms. I've stayed there twice this summer. New bedding and linems. Bed, pillow very comfortable. No fee for pets, but no green space for pet relief. I would stay again!

Normally my company books me in a chain. My manager asked me if I'd consider this option for two nights, and their positive reviews and location was fine with me. It is a very typical locally owned route 66 motor hotel in very good condition. Owner was friendly and super helpful, I felt like he knew all the good spots in this small town, with recommendations for food, shopping and laundry. The small locAl restaurant he highly recommended was amazing and it's not something I would have tried otherwise. Motel was per friendly, their office cat was adorable, and the room was comfortable. Tv, fridge, hot water all worked well. Motel was quiet (be aware there is a train but nowhere in town is far from it) and well insulated. Room heater (visited in the middle of winter) was older then me but was well maintained And worked well. I would absolutely stay here again, either for business or out of pocket.

If you want a cozy bed to sleep that feels like your at your Grandmas guest room this is the place it’s perfect for sleeping n a very hot shower. Now if you are a hotel snob then keep on trucking. This hotel is from1950 so yes there will be flaws in the walls or an older style appeal but who cares. I don’t. But if you are all Gucci then you might…The bad reviews that are written about coffeee pot or odds n ends heyyyy can’t please em all, and learn how to work a regular coffee pot cuz no it’s NOT a keurig kind. Train noise is tolerable and same with street noise I rather have this then riff raff going on. Great food options close by, we chose Blakes lotta burger but be prepared to wait no drive thru and made fresh to order. Worth it. 1-block east of hotel also did I mention this hotel is affordable and privately owned NOT no hotel chain. Give this hubby n wife team a chance and book here…

I am moving across the country. I had stuff in my car I couldn't afford to unpack and needed a place where my car was either very close or had security. After an 11 hour drive Ron (who was extremely freindly on the phone even allowing me to delay the motel a day on short notice) upgraded me to his biggest room since no one had booked it yet. The room was massive. I was able to park my car right outside the window. Additionally the food was fantastic in the areas nearby. He recommended this coffee shop which was run out of what looked like an old auto shop. Best breakfast sandwich I have had in a very long time. Better then any breakfast sandwich I had in my 11 years in San Diego. While the general area may have looked a little run down, I still HIGHLY recommend this motel especially for long distance people who are in a bit of a logistics bind. It felt easy and safe. This while I was traveling with birds. Many motels/hotels dont allow birds even when the allow cats and dogs so I was extremely grateful for this.

Fantastic! Can't recommend enough! The room was extremely clean and so adorable, comfy beds, good water pressure, close parking, and the service! The gentleman who took our reservation/checked us in was above and beyond friendly + helpful. We can't wait for our next trip to stay here!
